Inspection is Key to Baghouse Collectors Maintenance

Inspection of particulate collectors is essential for early detection of potential production or environmental problems and to avoid unplanned shutdowns or outages. DSM Services can perform an inspection on an as-needed basis or at regularly scheduled intervals (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annually).

Fallen Fabric Filter BagOur experienced team conducts an audit based on plant-specific baghouse equipment and operating, maintenance and monitoring procedures. Using our proprietary process, we conduct a thorough evaluation of the baghouse, including static and differential pressure readings, critical temperature readings, fabric filter bag analysis and permeability testing, ACFM and air-to-cloth ratio calculations, cleaning cycle assessment and a top-to-bottom equipment inspection. DSM Services inspects structural duct work, fan blowers, exterior and interior modules, filter bags, cleaning assembly, electrical controls, system pressure controls, and safety factors—as well as any unique equipment or regulatory requirements. DSM Services has worked with all types of dust collectors, including Pulse Jet, Reverse Air, Mechanical Shaker and On-Demand Cleaning.

This report guides our customers through the actions required to ensure regulatory compliance as well as optimal production performance and safety assurance. DSM Services also offers industry-leading infrared analysis of baghouses to diagnose thermodynamic problems in a dust collector and provide remedial suggestions.
